Summit First Thursday
October 2 @ 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Summit’s First Thursday is back this Thursday, October 2, and it’s free. Doors are open, the vibe is friendly, and the only wrong move is staying home.
Four easy stops to make your night special:
- Summit Free Public Library: Mary Kennington Watson: A Quiet Place, 4–8 PM
Paintings on view inside the Library. Address: 75 Maple St. - The Healing Arts Gallery: Featured artist Susanna Beltrandi, 4–8 PM
Sneak a look as the gallery sets up the next solo show and learn about their Reiki & Somatic sessions. Address: 57 Union Pl, Suite 212 (above Starbucks; across from the train). - Kanibal + Co: “Monster on Maple Street,” 4–7 PM
Hand-painted, in-house visual merchandising magic by Jessica Vivona. Bonus: DIY art kits if your inner maker wants in. Address: 27 Maple St. - Visual Arts Center of New Jersey: Seed Exchange, 5–7 PM
Bring leftover seeds, swap for something new, and pop into the fall exhibitions while you’re there, light snacks included. Address: 68 Elm St.
Yes, you can absolutely do all four. Start downtown, end at the Art Center, or flip it. Make a plan, bring a friend! First Thursdays are about seeing what’s here, saying hi to someone new, and giving your creativity a little exercise. The whole night is free and open to everyone.
See you out there on Thursday, October 2.
