Exhibition Opportunities
The Art Center offers a series of exclusive opportunities throughout the year for member artists, which are overseen by the Members Committee. The Members Committee has three signature programs: an annual member’s exhibition in our Main Gallery; member exhibitions in the Marité & Joe Robinson Strolling Gallery II; and The Summit Downtown Art Festival, in collaboration with Summit Downtown, which takes place in September. Members Art Show & Collectors Week
The Art Center is excited to announce that we will be closing the museum galleries in June for a major renovation project. (We’re still open for classes and programs.) The renovations will enhance the galleries and includes upgraded museum-quality lighting, beautification of the gallery spaces, and reconfiguration of the Eisenberg Gallery to create a more cohesive visitor experience. It’s going to be a stunning transformation of our gallery spaces, and we look forward to you experiencing it in October 2024 when we reopen to the public. You can learn more here.
Unfortunately, the renovation schedule will not allow us to host our beloved Members Show and Collectors Week this year, but it will be back and better than ever in Spring 2025. We do, however, have an upcoming opportunity for members to share their artwork: we welcome artists to submit a proposal for the Members Committee annual selection of exhibits for the second-floor community galleries and the Summit Public Library. Proposals are due on May 5 and you can read more information at the link above.
