Independent Practice in Ceramics is designed for currently registered ceramics students to work independently on their in-progress pieces from class and/or self-guided practice of skills. There will be a studio monitor and an assistant during this time to ensure the equipment in the room is used safely and the room is cleaned up. Students are expected to work independently, and any questions about glazing, techniques/skills, projects, etc., should be saved for their instructor during their regular class time.

Note: Independent Practice in Ceramics is only available to students enrolled in a Spring 2006 ceramics class or workshop.

Open Studio is an opportunity for students to continue their practice in fully-equipped art studios. To participate in Open Studio, students will need to register for the specific day/time they are attending. This can be done in advance online or over the phone. Same-day registrations will be available only if capacity allows.

Open Studio registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable in the case of student absence.

Open studio is designed for students to work independently on in-progress pieces from class and/or practice their skills. A monitor is present to take care of studio maintenance, and they can work on their own personal work. While they are happy to help you problem solve, students are expected to be comfortable working independently.
