7645 Intermediate/Advanced Silkscreen

Mondays, 6:30–9 PM
Learn the basics of silkscreen or take your practice to the next level! This class will explore stencil-based printing that can be done at home and will focus on exposing drawn images onto silkscreens. Students will learn every step of the process, plus tips and tricks for making multi-layered silkscreen prints. Class time will include demonstrations, one-on-one work with the instructor, group discussions, and creating a new body of work or experimenting with new ideas. Some materials provided. Additional supplies to be discussed during the first class.

7690 NEW! Silkscreen for a Modernist Artist
Instructor: Stephanie Bulante
Wednesdays, 6:30–9 PM
Want to learn how to silkscreen print your art onto t-shirts, tote bags, glass, wood, and so much more? Then, this class is for you! Students will have the opportunity to learn how to silkscreen print onto non-paper surfaces. The instructor will provide a variety of demonstrations like creating a stencil, coating a screen with light sensitive emulsion, and exposing an image onto a screen. Most materials provided. The Art Center will provide each student with one tote bag for printing purposes. Additional materials to purchase will be discussed in class.

7703 Exploring Etching in Color and Black & White
Instructor: Russ Spitkovsky
Thursdays, 9:30 AM–12 PM
Explore traditional and contemporary etching methods, including monotype and monoprinting. Experience this beautiful and versatile art form for yourself! Some materials provided. Additional supplies to be discussed during the first class. This class is taught by an instructor who is bilingual in Russian and English.
