7702 Loosen Up Your Paintings
Instructor: Mary Jean Canziani
Thursdays, 9:30 AM–12 PM
Do you wish your paintings had a looser and more painterly quality? This class will offer techniques to help students achieve that goal! Many famous painters, like Sargent and Matisse, learned by setting up an easel in a museum and reproducing the brushwork of earlier artists. Each week, this class will study a different artist to analyze their paint and brush handling. Students will engage in weekly painting exercises, gain practical skills, and practice good painting habits, allowing for more confidence and freedom.
5 session(s): 5/15–6/12
