The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Studio School, located in Summit, NJ, offers classes and workshops for artists of all ages and skill levels. Kid Workshops

Instructor: Vanessa Lopez
Let your child’s creativity shine! In this hands on workshop, students will design and decorate their very own custom wooden wall hanging—personalized with their name! Whether they’re into outer space, princess castles, dinosaurs, sports, or something totally unique, they’ll have the freedom to bring their favorite theme to life. This project encourages self–expression and personal style, making it a one–of–a–kind keepsake they’ll be proud to hang in their room for years to come.

8361 NEW! Artistic Gameboards (ages 9–12)
Instructor: Heidi SanFilippo
In this exciting one-day workshop, young creators will design and build their very own board game from scratch! From inventing a fun theme and drawing colorful game boards to crafting unique playing pieces and writing creative rules, students will use their imaginations every step of the way. Along the journey, they’ll practice storytelling, problem-solving, and collaboration while exploring art materials like markers, paints, and collage supplies. By the end of the workshop, each child will have a one–of–a–kind game to play with friends and family—complete with their own personal artistic touch. Please note that this workshop is three hours long. Students are welcome to bring a snack with them and will have a 15-minute break during the workshop (food not provided.)

8369 Create Your Own 3D Leprechaun Cottage (ages 6–11)
Instructor: Vanessa Lopez
Create your own 3D Leprechaun Cottage complete with a rainbow and a pot of gold! Students will paint a wooden house and use paint, Model Magic, glitter, and other goodies to create a leprechaun cottage that you can use as decoration for years!
