The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Studio School, located in Summit, NJ, offers classes and workshops for artists of all ages and skill levels. 8527 NEW! Stitch by Stitch: Storybook Characters (ages 13-17)

Thursdays, 4–6 PM
Bring your very own hand-sewn stuffed animal and story book to life! During the first half of this course, students will be learning the basics of hand sewing while following a stuffed animal template. For the other half of this course, students will make a Zine as their storybook to write and illustrate their own story that goes with their stuffed animal. The instructor will provide step-by-step demonstrations for hand sewing and creating the Zine. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn the basics of hand-sewing and/or enjoys telling stories through drawings.
