Artist’s Statement:
In Always Be True, Sarah Brenneman uses the language of abstraction to translate everyday experiences into a rich visual dialogue of color and form. The exhibition moves dramatically in scale, from intimate, gem-like paintings that evoke the rhythms of nature to expansive canvases dominated by rotating, windmill-like geometric architectures. Through expressive mark-making rather than literal representation, Brenneman creates an immersive environment that invites viewers to discover their own personal connections within the imagery of the paintings.
