Neha Kulkarni, The Aftermath of Gatherings, 2024, Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40 inches
Neha Kulkarni has always been captivated by the intimate interiors of homes—the way light filters through transparent glass vases, coffee table tops, or windows, adding an undeniable elegance to a space. In her paintings, she explores the delicate beauty of glass, light, shadow, and reflection, capturing their interplay to create depth and drama. The subtle distortions, fleeting reflections, and glow of transparency transform ordinary spaces into something poetic and timeless.
For Kulkarni, a home is more than just its physical structure; it carries the energy, habits, and emotions of its residents. The arrangement of a room, the objects left behind, or the way light lingers in a corner all reveal intimate stories about the lives unfolding within.
In Emotive Spaces, Kulkarni seeks to encapsulate this very essence. She invites viewers to step into her paintings, experience the atmosphere, and engage with the quiet narratives that echo within each space. Through her work, she encourages the imagination to explore the emotions, histories, and unspoken dialogues held within these walls.
