Into the Depths: A Workshop and Participatory Installation with Nazli Efe
November 11 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Be part of Precious & Temporary in the Art Center’s Main Gallery!
Inspired by kurşun dökme (molybdomancy), a traditional Turkish divination practice, this participatory installation invites you to pour molten beeswax into water. As the wax hardens, you’ll interpret the forms that emerge through free association and reflection by taking notes, writing a poem, or sketching. Gathered around water, our primordial mother, participants turn inward to draw out memories, emotions, and personal insights. Together, these explorations will become a collective sculptural installation on view in the Art Center’s Main Gallery through January 10, 2027.
