Departing from the Art Center at 9, we’ll enjoy a morning visit to the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College, and then head over for lunch at Savona’s Trattoria + Bar in Kingston followed by a visit to the Center for Photography at Woodstock. THE HESSEL MUSEUM OF ART
The Hessel Museum of Art, built in 2006, presents experimental group exhibitions and monographic shows, and also draws from the Marieluise Hessel Collection of Contemporary Art, comprised of more than 3,000 objects collected contemporaneously from the 1960s to the present day. The current exhibitions are Dara Birnbaum: Reaction and Martine Syms: Grio College.
CENTER FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AT WOODSTOCK
A non-profit organization newly located in Kingston, NY, The Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW) has provided direct support to artists for over 40 years. CPW’s programs include exhibitions, residencies, workshops, a digital workspace for the public, and more. The featured exhibition is Of Objects and Shadows / De Objetos y Sombras.
