Athena LaTocha is an Alaska-born artist whose monumental works explore the relationship between natural landscapes and human-made environments. Much of her work is based on direct research she conducts in wilderness areas, national parks, and industrial sites. For this exhibition, LaTocha has created an installation in the Eisenberg Gallery responding to specific landscapes in NJ, including the Great Falls of Paterson.
