Alpana Mittal, known artistically as ‘Tejaswini’, is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist working in New Jersey. Raised in Bharat, she draws deep inspiration from its diverse artistic traditions, especially Rangoli—an ephemeral floor art created during festivals. Wanting to preserve the beauty of these transient designs, she began translating their forms and rhythms onto canvas. The works presented in this exhibition reflect memories and visual impressions from her life in Bharat. Her current series, “Dream Reflections”, began unexpectedly in 2008 when she purchased a bead art kit for her daughter. While watching her daughter make small designs, Tejaswini intuitively began experimenting with the medium. The first completed piece revealed a creative path she felt compelled to follow. Working with beads became a meditative practice—an immersive process she describes as entering a world of peace and quietude. She does not pre-plan her compositions; instead, each work unfolds organically, guided by instinct and flow.

Tejaswini’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at ArtExpo NYC, Salmagundi Club (New York City), Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento), Europe Art Fair (Amsterdam), Boomer’s Art Gallery (London), Theresa A. Maloney Art Gallery (Morristown), Nassau County Museum of Art (Roslyn Harbor), Watchung Art Center (Watchung) Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (Summit), and Times Square’s digital billboards, among others. Her art has been featured in publications such as Spotlight (France), Art Château (Germany), and Artist Talk Magazine (United Kingdom). Recognized as a 2024 Marquis Who’s Who in America Honored Listee, Tejaswini continues to contribute meaningfully to the arts community. A 2022 exhibition she curated was named one of New Jersey’s top ten shows by NJArts.com, and her work has been featured in initiatives such as the Rockefeller Center Flag Project (2022) and Sing for Hope, where her painted piano remains on view at the Port Authority in New York City. Her years of service as Vice President and Board Member of Pro Arts Jersey City reflect her commitment to supporting fellow artists. Today, her artwork is held in private and public collections around the world, a testament to the quiet resonance and universal appeal of her practice

Stela Lupushor is a self-taught jewelry artisan who finds meditative value and creative expression in beadwork. Drawing inspiration from her travels and nature, she crafts one-of-a-kind beaded pendants and earrings featuring intricate patterns and vibrant color combinations. Her pieces incorporate high-quality materials, including semi-precious gemstones, gold-plated beads, and Swarovski crystals. Each pendant reflects both artistic vision and the contemplative process of its creation. While her primary motivation is the mindfulness she experiences through beading, her finished pieces become wearable art–allowing others to carry a distinctive part of her creative journey.

Streets of Summit presents a collection of beaded pendants inspired by the tree-lined roads and nature-named streets of Summit, New Jersey. Each pendant captures the character of a local street through color, pattern, and texture–translating place into wearable art. Stela Lupushor’s meditative beadwork transforms semi-precious gemstones, gold-plated beads, and Swarovski crystals into intimate tributes to the community she calls home.
