Artist’s Statement:

During this once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, changes have erupted throughout life causing tremendous rifts, wanted or not. People have gone from an outward-facing life to an introverted existence; from the world of outside work to an upside-down virtual world. We went from touching people’s hearts to smearing fingerprints on computer screens. Some went from love to estrangement, from married life to a single life, from wanting to wishing. We are still in this liminal moment, where we don’t know what life will be like in the future. In this time of uncertainty, we are all affected but not always in control of our destinies. We are the paint that is ever-evolving on a landscape of a blank canvas.
