X-SCAPES: Students of Howard Nathenson

This exhibition showcases the work of Howard Nathenson’s independent study in painting course at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. Artists included are Sally Abbott, Sarah Bass Aspe, Eileen Fay, Elizabeth Gillin, Beverly Goldschmidt, Lenore Knoller, Raymond Meslar, and Jeanne Shottland. Each artist demonstrates a unique interpretation of the landscape ranging from realist views of past travels to abstractions focusing more on the emotions evoked from a particular place.
