5348 NEW! Creating Realistic Flowers with Polymer Clay

Mondays, 7–9:30 PM
Learn the art of creating realistic flowers that will never wither! Students will learn how to form, cut, texture, and color air-dry polymer clay into individual, realistic flowers. Different types of flowers will be explored throughout the semester. By the final class, students will leave with a finished floral arrangement in a vase. Some materials provided; additional materials will be discussed during the first class.

5421 Mixed Media Collage Intensive
Instructor: Kat Block
Wednesdays, 9:30 AM–12 PM
Use all of your artistic abilities and skills to create an 18×18-inch mixed media collage while learning about color, design, pattern, drawing, watercolor, and more. Topics will include: creating a template; basic drawing, watercolor, and collage techniques; creating and deconstructing patterns; asymmetrical balance; extending the color palette; and proper gluing and varnishing. Demonstrations of materials and techniques will help guide students through their artistic process and creative journey. Some materials provided; additional materials will be discussed during the first class.

5357 NEW! Going Big: Mosaics
Instructor: Donna Conklin-King
Wednesdays, 6:30–9 PM
Learn the art of mosaics or further refine your skills and apply them on a grander scale by going BIG! Work with Thinset adhesive and an assortment of materials such as glass tile, glass cabochons, broken China, and more to create a project such as a picture frame, tabletop, or terracotta planter. Set your mosaic with grout for a finished and fabulous one-of-a-kind piece of art. All ideas are welcome and fun is encouraged! Some materials provided; additional materials will be discussed during the first class.
