5652 NEW! Painting the Colors of Winter in Watercolor
Instructor: Mark de Mos
Creating a successful winter scene in watercolor is an exercise in both visual observation and careful color application. The whites in a snow scene are in reality very colorful, as the snow reflects the light source and other objects, while also allowing for shadows of varying shades and tints. This workshop will cover the basics of creating snow scenes from your own reference photos— photos can be snow-free and the instructor will demonstrate how to add snow to the scene! An optional technique to replicate falling snow using gouache will also be covered.
Sunday, 1/8, 10 AM–4 PM
Tuition: $115
