Betty Fernandez, Boulevard East, Oil on linen, 30 x 30 in.
Petals & Cement
February 2–March 31
Opening Reception: February 22, 7:30–9 PM
Painting is my way of appreciating and preserving familiar places, people, and things as I see them in a moment in time. It is by working that I find my ideas evolving and taking shape until the essence of my subject comes through. Oil painting aligns itself with that process by being pliable and forgiving, allowing me ample time to capture my view of the ever-changing world.—Betty Fernandez
