DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, December 4\, from 2–3 PM\, to listen to artist Athena LaTocha speak about her practice. Her installation After the Falls was created specifically for the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey to relate to the land in our region. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Click here to register. \nAthena LaTocha is an Alaska-born artist whose monumental works explore the relationship between natural landscapes and human-made environments. Much of her work is based on direct research she conducts in wilderness areas\, national parks\, and industrial sites. For this exhibition\, LaTocha has created an installation in the Eisenberg Gallery responding to specific landscapes in NJ\, including the Great Falls of Paterson.
