The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is a certified professional development provider of the New Jersey Department of Education. In an effort to bring art and people together, even beyond our doors, the Art Center offers a variety of programs designed for PreK-12 art educators that incorporate our enlightening exhibitions, interaction with exhibiting contemporary artists and provide access to our renowned Studio School to enhance their skills and enliven the classroom. In addition, our Gallery Education Tours provide a unique opportunity to bring your students out of the classroom and in touch with contemporary art.

TEACHERS SYMPOSIUM
The Art Center’s Teachers Symposium is a unique professional development opportunity for art educators to come together and learn new creative skills to bring back to their classrooms.

STUDIO SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDIT
All Art Center classes and workshops are eligible for professional development hours. Upon completion, students will be awarded a certificate detailing their participation and the number of hours they have earned.

TOURS + GROUP VISITS
Make the Art Center part of your school year! Our Gallery Education Tour Program encourages students to view, learn and share their ideas about the art on view. All tours are aligned with New Jersey Core Curriculum Learning Standards.
