The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Community Engagement Programs are closely aligned with our mission of bringing art and people together and our commitment to making art accessible to all audiences. These programs make educational visual arts experiences available to under-served, economically disadvantaged and marginalized audiences. These audiences include at-risk youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, children from dual-working parent households, children from diverse populations and individuals from low-income households. We serve the community of Summit and surrounding areas including people living in Hudson, Union, Essex, Sussex and Somerset Counties.

AIM PROGRAM
The AIM Program (Arts Immersion and Mentorship Program) provides middle school students with hands-on art experiences and connects them with creative adult mentors to explore how art can positively transform their lives.
