The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey’s Community Engagement Programs are closely aligned with our mission of bringing art and people together and our commitment to making art accessible to all audiences. These programs make educational visual arts experiences available to under-served, economically disadvantaged and marginalized audiences. These audiences include at-risk youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, children from dual-working parent households, children from diverse populations and individuals from low-income households. We serve the community of Summit and surrounding areas including people living in Hudson, Union, Essex, Sussex and Somerset Counties. Our programs galleries rotate exhibitions of all of the above programs, highlighting the work of each diverse group.
Currently in our programs gallery is an exhibition that highlights the work of our partnership with SAGE Eldercare Spend-A-Day Program: Art from the Heart.
Currently on view: Carol Nussbaum and Jill Crouch, September 8th – November 6th, 2017
