Volunteer

You are here:

We are excited to announce a new volunteer program here at the Art Center! Whether you are an art student, a seasoned volunteer, looking to gain experience at a non-profit, or simply looking to get involved in the community, you may be interested in joining the volunteer team at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. We welcome any and all passionate individuals and believe that volunteering should be an enriching, rewarding, and productive use of time, for both the organization and the volunteer. As a member of the Art Center volunteer program, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of areas, including exhibition openings, gallery tours, customer relations, hospitality, and educational events.

Commitment: Four to six hours monthly for each four-month session.

Requirements: Volunteers are required to attend an orientation, during which they will receive a tour of the Art Center as well as information regarding the volunteer opportunities available during the current session. Volunteers will be asked to attend a private, curated tour of the gallery, with the goal of providing insight and information on the Art Center’s current exhibitions. Volunteers will be asked to work at two to three events during the four-month session.

Get started now:
