Summer Camps

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey offers kids two fun-filled opportunities to enhance their creativity during the summer:

The Kids’ Art Camp (ages 5 - 12) fosters knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts through hands-on activities. Students will explore a variety of media, including: drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and three-dimensional work under the guidance of our highly qualified instructors. Since projects vary each week (even if the theme is the same) kids may register for as many weeks of camp as they wish. Each week classes conclude with an exhibition for parents/caregivers to view their child’s artistic creations.

At Summer Saturday Art Camp (ages 6 - 9) your child will develop new, creative techniques. Over the course of 8 Saturdays, your child will create two projects a day. These projects will be based on two of the projects completed during the previous week of Kids’ Art Camp. Students will work in various media including sculpture, drawing, painting, and collage while learning about artists, art from other countries and different time periods.
