New Classes/Workshops

Each semester we offer new classes and workshops to keep our youngest artists creating and learning. Kids should be sure to wear a smock or appropriate clothing because creating art can be messy.

Spring Semester begins April 9.
Early Registration Discount: Register by February 26 to receive a $5 DISCOUNT on class tuition.
On-Time Registration: February 27 - April1
Late Registration: Beginning April 2 a $10 LATE FEE will be applied to class tuition.

Winter Semester began January 9.


ATTENTION MEMBERS: If you joined or renewed your Membership by phone, mail or in person, you will need to activate your Online Membership with the Art Center to receive the Member Discount on classes. Please call 908.273.9121 to activate your Membership. (Those who have joined or renewed through our website do not need to call.)

You will learn how to plan, draft and draw your own comic book as you get it ready to “publish.” Take home a published copy and your original comic book to share with family and friends.

This “drawing from nature” class is about seeing the world around us as artists and naturalists. Each class will focus on one form or pattern in the natural world – spirals, branching, stars/radials, mesh or retiform, etc. We will observe and discuss, draw and sketch, then do a related art project using various materials such as paper, clay, wire, fiber and sunprints.
