This combination class is a taste of various mediums such as drawing, painting, ceramics and sculpture, but geared to a youngster’s ability. Expose youngsters to a different artistic expression or strengthen existing foundations. Students can repeat a semester to become familiar with the teacher, creating a comfort zone for freer ability to create and have fun. Each medium is experimented within a different method or combination per semester to allow for open discussion and a fun environment.

This combination class is a taste of various media such as drawing, painting, ceramics and sculpture. This class is an excellent way to introduce beginning artists to different artistic expressions or strengthen existing foundations, allowing for additional experimentation and growth.

This class will feature weekly projects geared around both old and new masters of the art world. Students will learn about Pointillism with Seurat, Cubism with Picasso, Realism with Rembrandt, Impressionism with Van Gogh, and Expressionism with Pollock, just to name a few. A variety of materials will be used, including acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, chalk pastels, clay, watercolor, and printmaking. Students will gain a better understanding of different media and artists in a fun, educational class setting.
