Working spontaneously and intuitively, participants will take a variety of approaches to working with watercolor from the landscape. Projects begin with a series of quick paintings and progress to longer studies. Experimenting with form, color, composition and paint application participants will nurture and tap personal voices while responding to the landscape.

Want to try oil painting, but don’t want to invest in it unless you know it’s for you? Say no more! This workshop will guide students with step by step instructions covering brushes, mediums, color, composition, and application. A relaxed, fun environment to learn the basics of oil paint. All materials provided!

This workshop will consist of an introduction to pen and ink drawing with examples from established artists and a review of the instructor’s portfolio. Students will begin with simple value and texture exercises gradually working their way to more involved drawings of man made and natural objects. The workshop will end with a critique and discussion of work completed during the day.
