This workshop is designed for students who are technically proficient in digital photography and want to go further to concentrate on the ideas and motivation behind their artwork. During the workshop, we will review the works of master photographers (historical and contemporary) and talk about how the medium and art form has evolved. We will also have a critique discussing composition, quality of light, presentation styles, and the emotional weight of photographic images. The class will discuss how editing and sequencing photographs can strengthen individual images, create a series and help to define concepts. Please bring in a portfolio (maximum of 20 images) for review and discussion. This portfolio may be digital, but must be well organized and ready for review.
