The Art Center relies on the loyalty and dedication of its volunteer corps to bring art and people together. Volunteer opportunities at the Art Center range from docentry – which requires extensive training and commitment to lead exhibition tours – to event and administrative volunteers, whose work is vital to our ongoing operations.

DOCENTS
At the Art Center, educational programming is integral to our mission of bringing art and people together. We rely on the talent, commitment, and loyalty of our docents to provide the visitor with an enlightening experience. Docents lead dynamic tours of our exhibitions for visitors of all ages, making contemporary art accessible, thought-provoking and fun!

We are seeking docents who enjoy working with the public, are dedicated to lifelong learning, and have a strong commitment to enriching others through visual art.

Requirements for the Docent Program

• Training will begin in mid-January. All docents must attend (1) training session per exhibition.
• All docents must give (2) tours per exhibition.
