Gin & Jazz FAQs

You are here:

We are so excited about our SOLD OUT Gin & Jazz event this Friday night. We thought you might have some questions about the evening, so here’s an FAQ to address any concerns you might have in advance! For additional questions, please contact Susan Yarad at

Where should I park?
Uber is a fabulous option so that you can enjoy our signature drinks crafted by Hendrick’s Gin and the Summit House. If you do plan to drive, please use our parking lot at 68 Elm St. as well as the overflow parking we have secured across the street at LCJ Summit Middle School. Please drink responsibly!

What should I wear?
Think dressy casual! What you might wear for dinner at the Summit House is a good guide, especially since we know many people will come straight from work.

Did I hear something about an after party?
You may have! While the party officially ends here at the Art Center at 10 PM, Summit House will be open to host those who want to keep the evening going. Best of all, they have offered to donate 20% of all bar sales to the Art Center to help us continue our mission of transforming and enriching lives through the shared experience of art.

Will there be fun auction and raffle items?
Absolutely! We will sell raffle tickets for some really awesome items—yoga, running, and sports gifts galore; box tickets to a Devils game; a backyard party for 30 by Tito’s Burritos; amazing wine, and more. Additionally, we have three items to auction off live at the end of the night: dinner in your home for 12 by Summit House; 20 suite tickets to watch a NJ Devils home game in the Official Devils Alumni Suite and meet-and-greet with Ken Daneyko; and a painting created just for the event by Jill Crouch, one of the Art Center’s talented students. Talk with your friends about what you might bid on and even go in together on something!

Can you tell me more about the food and drink?
It’s going to be fabulous. We will serve seasonal hors d’oeuvres created by Summit House Executive Chef Martin Kester and perfectly crafted Hendrick’s cocktails designed by lead bartender, Bobby Frascella. Beer, wine, and autumn sangria will also be on offer!

We look forward to seeing you Friday!
